Senate Bill 647 (Senator Logan): Amends the Second Class County Code, further providing for county employee retirement allowances. This legislation would give Allegheny County District Attorney Detectives the same pension provisions as other police and would make their retirement benefits consistent with the Allegheny County Police. This would permit a county detective of Allegheny County to retire voluntarily and receive a full normal retirement benefit at age 50 or older with 20 or more years of service. Senate Bill 923 (Senator Wonderling): Amends the Tax Reform Code of 1971, providing, in personal income tax, for a credit for school board service expenses. This would enable individuals who serve as a school board director to receive a credit against their taxes for unreimbursed expenses incurred as a result of their service.
