FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Internship Opportunities with State Senator Pat Browne

Opportunities abound when you intern with State Senator Pat Browne.  Every day is different and brings a wealth of new experiences.  If your interests lie in communications, we are in touch with constituents, state agencies, other legislators and the media.  If you like to plan events, get ready to roll up your sleeves and help from start to finish with planning, promotion and execution.  If you are majoring in political science, we will give you a behind-the-scenes look at how state government operates.

Anyway you look at it, we are offering an invaluable experience that you can utilize in just about any career and dare we say it, looks great on a resume.  Plus, each intern will have a "shadow" day in Harrisburg.

Typical Internships include elements of the following:

  • You will have the opportunity to research information on issues that are related to the development of new legislation.
  • You will handle constituent problems/concerns and refer problems/concerns to the proper agency/Senate staff member.
  • You will prepare correspondence, procure copies of legislation and/or other state-related documents or information requested by constituents.
  • You will assist with various outreach projects.
  • Plus, you will witness history in the making as you spend a day in Harrisburg shadowing Senator Browne.  Get a behind-the-scenes view of what really happens in Harrisburg.
